Introduction About SHAREit Transfer, Share Files

Now with the digitization of the workplace for business and personal tasks comes the need to share files and data across more devices and platforms. We need a good file transfer system more than ever. Although we had “sort of” a solution to the problem decades ago, Bluetooth is slow, annoying, and sometimes doesn’t even work with large enough files.

The modern software also supports Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and more. tried to overcome this simple obstacle in his form. But these are mostly cloud storage services. Although it makes file sharing much easier than Bluetooth, it is still not the best when it comes to file sharing.

This is where SHAREit comes in as it is a one-size-fits-all solution to this problem.

Characteristic of SHAREit

SHAREit lets you share files across multiple devices, regardless of their type. Through various platforms that support the application, such as phones, tablets, computers, as well as Windows and MacOS. The best thing about SHAREit is that it allows you to share files faster than traditional Bluetooth sharing.

Instead of using a low-bandwidth Bluetooth connection, SHAREit uses the speed of a wireless access point directly to transfer your file. Note that there is a difference between regular Wi-Fi and a wireless hotspot. The latter – used by SHAREit – is technically similar to Bluetooth, but more efficiently connects directly to the recipient’s device. no wifi internet.

With this direct connection, sharing large files like videos, executables and even ZIP files is no longer a problem.

In the past, when you needed to use cloud storage services, you had to go through many complicated steps. Like uploading the file(s) to the storage server, getting the share link, passing it on to the recipient, the recipient needs to spend time uploading the file itself, which can take a long time if it’s heavy.

SHAREit can let you skip all these steps and share directly from device to device. The file you want to share goes directly to the recipient’s device without going through an intermediary. SHAREit connects all user devices in a small private network, allowing fast and efficient, easy and seamless data transfer between them.

However, compared to traditional Bluetooth technology, it has a small drawback, which is that it is not universal. Although almost all modern smart devices are equipped with Bluetooth technology, you can instantly share files without downloading anything first.

SHAREit, as you can imagine, only allows you to share files between devices that have SHAREit enabled and running. Although, when you learned about this program, you expected that there would be many problems.

But that’s because SHAREit tries to integrate and support as many platforms as possible, from Android to iOS, Windows and MacOS. This can be difficult if you use devices on these platforms. Since each platform has its own issues, troubleshooting may vary and require different procedures if you encounter problems.

The program itself is not perfect. Although it is built on a fairly solid concept and “executable” coding, it still has bugs and lacks a lot of guidance and documentation for new users. If you are new to SHAREit, you will feel very confused when you enter the program because the program does not offer you any tutorials or instructions on how to use it.

If you’re a techie, it’s probably not bad. However, this can be a direct turn off for the average user. But mostly it comes down to the initial setup. First, you need to configure your settings, especially Wi-Fi settings, to be compatible with SHAREit in the app menu.

The program also crashes sometimes. Like I said, I guaranteed you that if you put in enough effort, it will eventually work out. But that doesn’t mean the road to get there will be nice and dirty. Time and again, not only I, but many others have encountered hangs and errors when trying to transfer certain files.

Sometimes the app crashes completely and requires restarting the app on both devices for it to work. But beware, it doesn’t always work, some files have weird problems and never reach the other device. But these are separate cases.

Sharing media via SHAREit is faster than Bluetooth. And the files are very simple, especially the documents. But the problem is that after the file is transferred, the program automatically disconnects from the recipient’s access point.

So if you want to transfer another file, you have to carefully connect to transfer, then rinse and repeat after the process is complete. It’s pretty annoying, but at least it’s faster than using a floppy drive. But now I try to embrace it more than anything else.

Final Words About SHAREit

Although SHAREit works, it is undeniable. I still have a long way to go before it’s reliable enough to turn to Data Transfer Drive on a regular basis. Although I was able to find instructions for using the program after a little searching, many new users will not.

They are looking for simple solutions with simple steps and SHAREit has not yet achieved that. The codebase still needs a lot of work in terms of scalability, especially in terms of cross-platform integration. It looks like the developers tried to cram in as much space as possible, as their efforts fail in every single one.

While maintaining the majority of devices is definitely nice, try not to overdo it before that happens.

What's new

Fixed bugs, improved performance, now SHAREit is even better to use.
